LORUM
Welcome to LORUM
You can consult additional and detailed information on legal notice, data protection, privacy policy and cookies on our website:
In compliance with article 22 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Services of the Information Society and E-commerce (LISS-EC) in relation to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, General Data Protection (GDP) and Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (OLDPGDR) below we inform you that cookies we use in LORUM and how to eliminate them.
According to art. 22.2 of the LISS, service providers may use data storage and retrieval devices in terminal equipment of the recipients, provided that they have given their consent after being provided with clear and complete information on their use. All this refers to the use of cookies and similar technologies used (such as local shared objects or flash cookies, web beacons or bugs, etc.) to store and retrieve data from a terminal equipment (for example, a computer, a mobile phone or a tablet) of a natural or legal person who uses, whether or not for professional reasons, an information society service. Item 30 of the GDPR indicates that natural persons may be associated with online identifiers provided by their devices, applications, tools and protocols, such as internet protocol addresses, session identifiers in the form of “cookies” or other identifiers, such as radio frequency identification tags. These can leave traces which, in particular, when combined with unique identifiers and other data received by the servers, can be used to build profiles of natural persons and identify them.
This website uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very diverse purposes, such as, for example, recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, or customising the way content is displayed. The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.
COOKIES ACCORDING TO THE TIME PERIOD
SESSION COOKIES | are cookies designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. They are usually used to store information that is only of interest for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion. |
PERSISTENT COOKIES | are cookies in which the data is still stored in the terminal and which can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, and which can range from a few minutes to several years. |
COOKIES ACCORDING TO THE ENTITY THAT MANAGES THEM
OWN COOKIES | are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided. |
THIRD PARTY COOKIES | are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies. |
COOKIES ACCORDING TO PURPOSE
TECHNICAL COOKIES | are those that allow the user to navigate through a web page, platform or application and the use of the different options or services that exist in it. These include: those that the editor uses to allow the management and operation of the web page and enable its functions and services, such as, for example, control traffic and data communication, identify the session, access restricted access parts, remember the elements that make up an order, carry out the purchase process of an order, manage payment, control fraud linked to the security of the service, make the request for registration or participation in an event, count visits for billing purposes of software licenses with which the service works (website, platform or app), use security elements during browsing, store content for the broadcast of videos or sound, enable dynamic content (for example, loading the animation of a text or image) or share content through social networks. Also belonging to this category, due to their technical nature, are those cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, as one more element of design or “layout” of the service offered to the user, the publisher has included in a web page, app or platform based on criteria such as edited content, without collecting information from users for different purposes, such as personalising that advertising content or other content. |
PREFERENCE OR PERSONALISATION COOKIES | allow the user to remember information so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics that can differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to be displayed when the user makes a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which the user accesses the service, etc. If it is the user who chooses those characteristics (for example, if they select the language of a website by clicking on the icon of the flag of the corresponding country), cookies will be exempt from the obligations of article 22.2 of the LISS for being considered a service expressly requested by the user, always as long as the cookies are exclusively used for the selected purpose. |
ANALYSIS OR MEASUREMENT COOKIES | allow the person responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of the users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impacts of the advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity of the websites, app or platform, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data made by the users of the service. |
BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING COOKIES | store information on the behaviour of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it. |
COOKIES EXCEPT FROM CONSENT | are those which only allow communication between the user’s equipment and the network. Those that strictly provide a service expressly requested by the user: user input cookies, user authentication or identification cookies (session only), user security cookies, multimedia player session cookies, session cookies to balance the load, cookies of personalisation of the user interface, certain complementary cookies (plug-in) to exchange social content. |
